Guidance at the End of Life

Where emotional, spiritual, and practical care come together.

At Sacred Connections Doula Services, I guide individuals and families through the end-of-life journey with clarity, compassion, and curiosity.

As a certified death doula with decades of hospice nursing experience, I specialize in emotional, spiritual, and practical support that honors each person’s unique values, needs and wishes. Whether you’re planning ahead or navigating a current diagnosis, I’m here to help you feel empowered—not overwhelmed.

How Sacred Connections Was Born

Sacred Connections is more than a name—it is the heart of my work and the expression of what I believe to be my soul’s purpose. At the center of this philosophy is the Celtic triskele, an ancient symbol representing the integration of body, mind, and spirit. This harmony is especially vital at the end of life, when these dimensions come together in their most profound form.

The triskele also reflects the natural cycles of birth, life, and death—a continuum that underscores the sacredness of every transition. My intention is to create space where death is not feared, but honored as a meaningful and transformative part of the human experience.

My Story

Have you ever wondered what it truly means to support someone at the end of their life?

For me, it’s about presence, compassion, and creating a space for connection and peace of mind. This understanding became clear when my father was diagnosed with cancer shortly after I graduated from nursing school. Witnessing his rapid decline and the accompanying feelings of helplessness was a defining moment that shaped the future direction of my nursing career.
I vividly remember the fear and sadness of watching his health deteriorate, feeling ill-equipped to provide the comfort and support he needed. That experience motivated me to learn more about death and dying.
I believe compassionate, holistic end-of-life care can truly transform the dying experience — from one marked by chaos and fear to one filled with peace and meaningful transformation. This realization inspired me to become a death doula, so I could offer others the comfort and support I wished my father had received.

Through meditation, I’ve learned the importance of staying present with pain, grief, and uncertainty — allowing space for difficult emotions instead of avoiding them.

Frequently Asked Questions

“The human soul doesn’t want to be advised or fixed or saved. It simply wants to be witnessed — to be seen, heard and companioned exactly as it is.”
